Production process

1. Bauxite crushing: Bauxite is the main raw material for aluminum ingots. It needs to be crushed first to break the ore into small particles.

2. Bauxite leaching: Put the crushed ore into the leaching tank, add hot water and sodium hydroxide to dissolve the aluminate in the bauxite.

3. Filtration: Filter the leachate to filter out the aluminate solution.

4. Oxidation: Transfer the aluminate solution to the reaction tank, add aluminum hydroxide, and oxidize the aluminate solution into aluminum oxide.

5. Electrolysis: Put aluminum oxide into the electrolytic tank, add lithium fluoride and aluminum hydroxide, and perform electrolysis to reduce aluminum oxide to pure aluminum.

6. Casting into ingots: Pour the pure aluminum liquid obtained by electrolysis into a mold, cool and solidify into aluminum ingots.

Aluminum ingots are divided into three types according to their composition: aluminum ingots for remelting, high-purity aluminum ingots and aluminum alloy ingots; according to their shape and size, they can be divided into bar ingots, round ingots, plate ingots, T-shaped ingots and other types.

T-shaped aluminum ingots--500kg, 1000kg (≤99.80%Al):

High-purity aluminum ingots--10kg, 15kg (99.90%~99.999%Al);

Aluminum alloy ingots--10kg, 15kg (Al--Si, Al--Cu, Al--Mg);

Plate ingots--500~1000kg (for plate making);

Round ingots--30~60kg (for wire drawing).
